4 People In The Meranti Regent Case Prevented From Going Abroad
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent four people in the case of the inactive Meranti Regent Muhammad Adil from going abroad.
Prevention is carried out to investigate the alleged budget cuts for 2022-2023, receiving fees from Umrah travel services, and allegations of giving bribes to condition financial examination in 2022 at the Meranti Islands Regency Government. This case began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared Adil.
"To prevent four people from traveling abroad and have been submitted to the Director General of Immigration since April 27," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, April 28.
Ali only detailed that the four people consisted of three private and one state civil apparatus (ASN). However, information circulating that the three private sectors were Muhammad Reza Fahlevi, Maria Giptia, and Deny Surya A. R and an ASN who were also prevented were Heny Fitriani.
The four were prevented for six months. Ali hopes they fulfill the investigator's summons.
"We hope that the party in question will be cooperative in attending every agenda of summoning the KPK Investigative Team," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK named the Regent of Meranti Muhammad Adil as the highest suspect in three different cases. This determination was made after being caught by OTT.
He was named a suspect for cutting the 2022-2023 budget, receiving fees from Umrah travel services, and allegedly giving bribes to condition financial examination in 2022 at the Meranti Islands Regency Government. Adil became a prisoner for the Head of the Meranti Islands BPKAD, Fitria Nengsih and the Deputy BPK representative of Riau M Fahmi Aressa.
The KPK revealed that the money Adil got from the practice of rasuah was used for operational costs for political safari activities. He plans to run as one of the Riau gubernatorial candidates in the 2024 Pilkada.
