Faiz And Fathia Izzati: The Main Effect Of Reality Club Is Arctic Monkeys

JAKARTA In an interview session with Soleh Solihun on the YouTube channel Podcast Naik Clas some time ago, Faiz and Fathia Izzati from Reality Club admitted, Arctic Monkeys is the main influence of the Jakarta rock band.

Faiz said, when the release of his second album titled What Do You Really Now? (2019), he already suspected that he would get a response from two listeners' camps.

"I know, when our second album came out there must be two camps. One, 'Wow, it looks really similar to Arctic Monkeys, I like it'. And second, 'Wow, it looks really like Arctic Monkeys, I don't like it'. But yes, my favorite band is really Arctic Monkeys," he said.

"I've watched them live many times and I really like it. So yes, they are my goal," he continued.

In addition, Fathia Izzati added, she was never afraid to admit that Reality Club was affected by Alex Turner et al.

"We really admit that musicians who compose songs must be influenced by their idols. And we are not afraid to say who influenced us," said Fathia.

However, Faiz said, he had thought about these various comments and began to evaluate the songs.

"But honestly when they say that, I evaluate too. Listening to some songs we keep thinking about how it looks like. It's very similar. It's just that I don't feel like there's a really full plagiarism part," concluded Faiz.
