JAKARTA - Ganjar Pranowo's victory in the Central Java gubernatorial election (Pilgub) for 2 periods could not be separated from Puan Maharani. Puan's role for Ganjar's success in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) is also considered very much needed.

As is known, Puan became the Chair of the Ganjar Winning Team in the 2013 Central Java gubernatorial election and the 2018 Central Java gubernatorial election. Under Puan's command, Ganjar managed to get 48.82% of the votes in the 2013 Central Java gubernatorial election and won a landslide victory in the 2018 Central Java gubernatorial election with 58.78% of the votes.

Now, the General Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri has again assigned Puan to become the commander of Ganjar's winning team. This time, for Ganjar's victory in the 2024 presidential election.

In addition to winning in 2 Central Java gubernatorial elections, Puan's position as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives is also worth taking into account. Moreover, in the last few months, Puan has carried out the task of communicating with other parties and has carried out political safaris to a number of political party chairmen.

According to Alvin, the choice of Puan as the combat commander for Ganjar in the 2024 presidential election is correct.

"Puan Maharani can play an important role in garnering support for Ganjar Pranowo," said the lecturer at the Faculty of Communications, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN).

"The broad network that Puan has within the party and outside the party can be optimized," continued Alvin.

The graduate of the British University of Leicester master also highlighted Puan Effect in the national political arena. Alvin assessed that Puan's political work had been recognized by the public as well as other parties.

"In this case, he can use his influence to mobilize support bases and embrace other political parties that might help win Ganjar Pranowo," he explained.

Alvin also underlined the greatness of Puan's heart, who accepted Megawati's decision to choose Ganjar as a presidential candidate from PDIP. Bung Karno's grandson's employee is considered capable of making PDIP more solid and harmonious.
