Exceeding Predictions, Angkasa Pura I Notes Serving 238 Thousand Passengers At The Peak Of Lebaran Homecoming
JAKARTA PT Angkasa Pura I noted that it had served 238,111 passengers at the peak of the 2023 Eid homecoming flow which fell on April 19.
Angkasa Pura I also noted that it serves 1,914 aircraft movements at 15 airports managed.
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I Faik Fahmi said the number of passenger and aircraft movements at the peak of the Lebaran homecoming flow was higher than the initial prediction, namely 210,000 passenger movements and 1,750 aircraft movements.
"At the peak of the Lebaran 2023 homecoming flow, we recorded the number of passenger and aircraft movements at 15 airports exceeding our initial prediction figures. The realization of the number of passenger movements was 13 percent higher than the initial prediction. Meanwhile, the realization of the number of aircraft movements was 9 percent higher than the initial prediction figure we conveyed earlier," Faik told the media, Thursday, April 20.
Then Angkasa Pura I also recorded three airports with the highest number of passenger movements at the peak of the Lebaran 2023 homecoming flow on April 19, 2023 (H-3 Lebaran), namely at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali with 61,466 passenger movements, followed by Juanda Airport in Surabaya with 49,614 passenger movements, and Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar with 37,464 passenger movements.

Faik added that Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport also experienced the highest growth in the number of passenger movements at the peak of the Lebaran 2023 homecoming flow compared to the peak of the 2022 Eid homecoming flow, which reached 94 percent.
"Although Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is traditionally not a pocket for travelers, the high number of passenger movements served shows the high interest of the public to spend Eid Al-Fitr holiday time in Bali. Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport also serves the highest number of passenger movements since the first day of operation of the Lebaran 2023 Command Post on April 14 to 19, with total passenger movements served reaching 315,633 movements," concluded Faik Fahmi.
