Bell later told Kerrang! that his separation from Fear Factory has been going on for a long time.

Asked if there was any possibility of a reconciliation with Fear Factory, Burton said: "I'm done (with Fear Factory). I haven't spoken to Dino in three years. Meanwhile in October, Cazares stated that the door for Burton to return to Fear Factory would not be open forever.
