Visiting Prabowo, Lemhanas Governor Shown His Father's Stick Pangdam IX/Udayana

JAKARTA - Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto assessed that the study made by the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) could be useful in increasing national defense awareness.

Prabowo supports Lemhannas to continue to strengthen defense studies in the national, regional and global spheres.

"This is very valuable to increase national defense awareness," Prabowo said after discussing with the Governor of Lemhannas Andi Widjajanto at the Ministry of Defense Office, Jakarta, Thursday, April 13, which was confiscated by Antara.

Prabowo, on the sidelines of a meeting with the Governor of Lemhannas, had shown a stick belonging to Major General TNI Theo Syafei when he served as Pangdam IX/Udayana.

The baton, which belongs to Andi Widjajanto's father, is currently on display at Prabowo's office. "There's Mr. Theo," said Prabowo, who also showed a photo of Theo Syafei when he was young.

"That's 1978. Thank you sir," Andi told Prabowo.

"I thank you," said Prabowo.

Major General Theo is a retired high-ranking Army officer. He is from the Indonesian Army's Special Forces Command Infantry Unit.

In a meeting with Lemhanas, Prabowo was accompanied by the Director General of Defense Strategy of the Ministry of Defense Major General TNI Bambang Trisnohadi, Director General of Defense Planning of the Ministry of Defense Admiral TNI Supo Dwi Antara, Head of the Defense Facilities Agency of the Ministry of Defense Marsda TNI Yusuf Jauhari, Head of the Defense Strategic Installation Agency of the Ministry of Defense Major General Yudi Abrimantyo, Head of the Defense Strategy Information Center of the Ministry of Defense Brigadier General Robi Herbawan, and Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Defense Brigadier General TNI Edwin Adrian Sumantha.
