Trade Minister Zulhas Claims Prices Of Basic Goods Are Stable To Tend To Decrease

JAKARTA - Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan claims that the price of basic goods (bapok) ahead of Eid will be more stable and tend to fall.

The public can face Eid in peace because the price of bapok is affordable and the supply is large.

This statement was made by the Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan after visiting the Cendrawasih Market in Metro City, Lampung, on Thursday, April 13.

"People are expected to spend quite a bit of bapok, there is no need to worry because there is a lot of supply," he said.

Furthermore, Zulhas, as Zulkifli Hasan is familiarly called, also appreciated the efforts of the local government which has succeeded in maintaining price stability and supply of bapok at the moment of Ramadan and ahead of Eid.

He also hopes that the synergy between the central government and local governments in maintaining price stability and the supply of bapok can be maintained.

"Thank you, the Mayor of Metro, who succeeded in making the price of bapok even lower before Eid. Likewise for other regions, the stock of bapok is large. This is the first time before Eid, the price of bapok has deflation," he said.
