Seven Victims Of Sriwijaya Air Identified

JAKARTA - The National Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team has identified 7 victims in the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane crash incident in the waters of the Thousand Islands. Thus, the total identified victims were 24 people.

"For the results of the investigation up to 17.00 WIB, we have identified 7 victims," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono in a press conference held at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, Saturday, January 16.

Rusdi said, the 7 identified victims included:

1. Rosi Wahyuni (Female) 51 years old

2. Rizky Wahyudi (male) 26 years old

3. Nelly (Female) 49 years old

4. Beben Sopian (male) 58 years old

5. Mahrufatul Yeti Srianingsih (Female) 30 years old

6. Arifin Ilyas (male) 26 years old

7. Arneta Fauziyah (Female) 38 years old.

All victims were identified based on two methods by matching fingerprints like previous identification and using DNA samples.

Chairman of the Inafis Fingerprint Team, AKBP Suhartoyo, added that one of the victims who was revealed by the fingerprint matching method was Mahrufatul Yeti Srianingsih. His fingerprints matched the e-KTP data obtained from the passenger manifest.

"The ante mortem data, DVI gave identical data results to the results found by the Pusinafis team. The fingerprint comparison process was carried out by comparing the victim with the e-KTP fingerprint with 12 identical results. Thus it is true that the sister Machrufatul Yeti, " he said.
