Majene Earthquake, 2 People Trapped In The Ruins Of The Governor's Office Building

MAMUJU - As many as two victims are still trapped in the rubble of the West Sulawesi governor's office building which collapsed due to the earthquake in Majene.

"Two people trapped in the building of the West Sulawesi governor's office located in Rangas Village, Mamuju city, are named Muh Isra and Abdul Rahman," said the head of the West Sulawesi Provincial Youth and Sports Service, Muh Hamzih in Mamuju, quoted by Antara, Friday, January 15.

He said the two trapped people still had their voices heard when called. The condition of the two people trapped is still healthy, so evacuation must be carried out as soon as possible.

Hamzih hopes that all parties can evacuate together so that the two victims can be saved.

According to him, the earthquake that shook so hard made the West Sulawesi governor's office building, which had four floors, collapsed.

"Let's face this trial with courage and patience, let's pray, I hope this disaster will pass quickly," he said.

The Majene earthquake reportedly killed 8 people. Six hundred more people were injured.

Meanwhile, the damage to buildings in this regency includes 62 damaged houses, 1 health center unit severely damaged, 1 Maluda military office and military damage, power outages, unstable cellular communication and 3 landslides along the Majene - Mamuju axis road.
