COVID-19 Update As Of April 7: New Cases 619, Healing Increases 368
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 11,499 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 619 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,750,183 people and active cases have increased by 249 to 6,360 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Friday, April 7.
Today's recovered cases increased by 368 people, bringing the total to 6,582,777 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 2 cases and a total of 161,046 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 295 cases and a total of 1,548,234 cases. Followed by West Java which has 101 new cases with a total of 1,239,570 cases. East Java has 68 new cases and a total of 639,432 cases. Banten has 53 new cases and a total of 367,723 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 163 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 49 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 35 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 31 recovered cases.

"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 3.85 percent", he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 1,051 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, currently there are 203,825,405 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,857,973 of the second dose of vaccination.
Then, the third dose of vaccination was 68,655,569 and the fourth dose was 3,099,490. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
