Israeli Military Attacks Al Aqsa Mosque, MUI: Damaging Human Rights Principles
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) declared Israel's military attack on pilgrims at the Al Aqsa Mosque to undermine the principles of human rights (HAM).
"Israel's actions are not only not honorable, but have also undermined human rights principles that should be upheld by anyone with common sense and noble character," said MUI head for Foreign Relations and International Cooperation Prof. Sudarnoto Abdul Hakim in a written statement, Friday, April 7, which was confiscated by Antara.
He stated that the rights of Muslims have been deliberately and very clearly destroyed by the Israeli government.
"This is not the first time this has been done, but it has been many times," said Sudarnoto.
The holy month of Ramadan in which Muslims increase their worship at the Aqsha Mosque has been used as a momentum and reason for Israel to impose restrictions and even acts of violence against the Muslims of the Al Aqsa Mosque congregation, he said.
"This act of raids and acts of violence is clearly against international law. Therefore, I strongly condemn all these uncivilized and inhumane actions," he said.
Sudarnoto said all of Israel's crimes were exponentials that had been carried out since the first time in 1948 as shown in the Yaum al-Nakba incident to this day.
The sole goal is to control the entire Palestinian land. Israel does not seem to stop carrying out its actions using various methods until Palestine is completely controlled.
There is not a single force that can stop Israel's steps. Benjamin Netanyahu seems to be increasingly under heavy pressure because it is threatened with collapse due to internal political problems. In addition, the normalization of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran facilitated by China is a serious threat to Israel, especially since America's role and influence feels weaker," he said.

He said Israel's brutal attitude was compensation from the turmoil, annoyance and pressure on the Netanyahu government.
Moralally, Israel has actually experienced acute bankruptcy as shown by the brutality earlier.
In this regard, he continued, all resistance to Israel must also be exponential and carried out by anyone and anywhere who loves peace.
He said various ways must continue to be taken so that the bankruptcy of Israel can truly be realized more perfectly and Palestine gains its sovereignty and independence.
"In this matter, I consider that Saudi Arabia and other countries that have been normalizing their diplomatic relations with Israel should start rising to pressure Israel," said Sudarnoto.
He said Iran, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China also had their own strength to pressure Israel.
"Especially if all these pressures are carried out jointly, among others, in order to influence and convince America to take more empathic and progressive steps to stop Israeli terrorism," he said.
