3 Passenger Families Of Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 Have Not Delivered DNA Samples
JAKARTA - Until the sixth day of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane crash, there were still three families who had not submitted DNA samples to the DVI Team through the Antemortem Command Post.
"So the team is still waiting for three more victims whose DNA samples are needed from their families," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono in a press conference held at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, Thursday, January 14.
If later three families have submitted samples, the Police DVI Team will have the DNA of all the passengers on the plane.
"We are still waiting. Hopefully our 62 victims will have DNA samples soon," he said.
For information, the National Police opened antiemortem posts in two different places, namely in Pontianak and at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.
The post at the Police Hospital operates 24 hours. So, the families of passengers who want to provide specific data or information related to the passengers of the unlucky plane can visit the post.
Returning to Rusdi's statement, currently the National Police Hospital has received 139 body bags and 46 property bags belonging to passengers in total since the SAR Team conducted a search.
Regarding this discovery, the DVI Team will continue to work until no body part or body part has not been identified.
It is known that up to now, the number of passengers that the DVI Team has currently identified is 12 passengers. Two of them are the flight crew, namely a steward on behalf of Okky Bisma and a stewardess on behalf of Mia Tresetyani.
In addition, of these dozens of passengers, two of them have been handed over to the family for funerals, namely Okky Bisma and Asy Habul Yamin.
Previously, the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane on the Jakarta-Pontianak route had lost contact in the Thousand Islands shortly after taking off from Soekarno Hatta Airport on Saturday, January 9, 2020. Furthermore, the authorities provided certainty if the plane crashed in the vicinity of Laki and Pulau Lancang, Thousand Islands.
The total aircraft carried 62 people, including 12 crew members and 50 passengers consisting of 40 adult passengers, seven children and three babies.
