West Manggarai Regent Becomes Suspected Of Corruption In The Labuan Bajo Land Case
KUPANG - The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) High Prosecutor's Office named the West Manggarai Regent, Agustinus Ch, along with 16 other people as suspects in the alleged corruption case of the sale and purchase of state land assets in Labuan Bajo.
The West Manggarai Regent was named a suspect after being questioned for the fourth time by the West Manggarai District Attorney for alleged corruption in the transfer of government land assets to a third party suspected of causing Rp3 trillion in losses to the state.
NTT Attorney General's Office Aspidsus Muhammad Ilham Samudra said the total number of suspects in the case was 17, including the West Manggarai district head.
"We have appointed West Manggarai Regent Agustinus Ch Dula as a suspect in the sale and purchase of state assets in Labuan Bajo," Muhammad Ilham was quoted as saying by Antara, Thursday, January 14.
Today the suspects will be immediately taken to Kupang and will be immediately detained in Kupang.
"Today all the suspects will be sent to Kupang by commercial aircraft," he added.
