Bukber Prohibition For ASN, Jayapura City Government Still Safari Ramadan Using The APBD Budget

JAYAPURA - Jayapura City Government (Pemkot) said the ban on breaking the fast together (bukber) only applies to internal civil servants (PNS) of local governments (Pemda).

"When we attended the national coordination meeting, the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian also emphasized that the prohibition of breaking the fast with the regional government internally is prohibited," said Jayapura Mayor Frans Pekey in Jayapura, Papua, Wednesday, March 29, as reported by Antara.

According to him, breaking the fast together with internal local governments will be directed more at sharing for the community or the poor.

"So more is encouraged so that local governments for various orphanages and Islamic boarding schools," he said.

He explained, breaking the fast together at Islamic boarding schools and mosques can be done so that his party will carry out the Safari Ramadan 1444 Hijri program.

"The Ramadan Safari Program in Jayapura City will still be carried out, but we will make more visits to orphanages and Islamic boarding schools (ponpes) as well as poor groups," he said.

He added that his party plans to carry out a Ramadan safari next week because the schedule is currently being prepared. Later the budget for the Ramadan safari will be extracted from the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget, aka the Jayapura Regional Budget

"For the budget that will be given to Islamic boarding schools and orphanages during the Ramadan Safari, we will adjust it to the budget from the Jayapura City Government," he said.
