Guess The Mysterious Figure Of The Cipinang Rutan Shooter
JAKARTA - The police do not yet know the perpetrator of the shooting at the Cipinang Class 1 Supervision and Inspection guardroom (Rutan). To uncover this case, the police have been digging up information from three witnesses about the identity of the perpetrator.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Heri Purnomo, said that the witnesses who had been questioned were the guards of the Cipinang Detention Center. He did not want to convey the results of his examination due to technical reasons for the investigation.
"So far three witnesses have been examined. We are still investigating everything," Heri told VOI when confirmed, Tuesday, February 11.
The police also uncovered CCTV footage around the site. However, the perpetrator has yet to be revealed.
The provisional allegation is that the shooter did not use a firearm. This is because the window glass in the room was not broken and no shells or projectiles were found in the vicinity of the incident. At the scene of the incident, there were only two gunshot marks that resembled circles.
"The provisional results did not find any shells or projectile remains. (The window glass) was not translucent because the window was covered with window film," said Heri.
Head of the Cipinang Detention Center Muhammad Ulin Nuha said the officers on duty heard a collision on the window of the room when the incident took place and did not hear the sound of an eruption. However, the impact sound was not heard loud.
"Our members only heard a soft voice from the window," said Ulin.
There were no injuries or lives from this incident. In addition, there were no items damaged as a result of the shooting because the bullets did not penetrate the window glass.
"Nobody was damaged and the victim. There were only marks (of gunfire) on the window panes," said Ulin.
