The Kudus Police, Central Java, together with Kodim 0722/Kudus and Satpol PP raided a liquor storage area with evidence of hundreds of bottles of liquor from various illegal brands.

According to the Head of the Ops Division of the Kudus Police, Kompol Catur Kusuma Adi, he explained that the place where the liquor was deviated was in Tanjung Karang Village, Jati District, Kudus.

The confiscation of hundreds of bottles of liquor, he said, began with community disease operations in a number of karaoke places in the teak sub-district which received dozens of bottles of liquor. Then get a report on the liquor provider.

As a result, in the raid by a joint team in Tanjung Karang Village, they managed to find 400 bottles of various brands of alcohol.

"While the evidence of liquor that we managed to confiscate during the concentrated operation was 640 bottles of various sizes. The evidence has been secured at the Kudus Police Headquarters," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 24.

The concentrated operation, he said, was carried out as an effort to prevent disturbances in public security and order during the month of Ramadan. Because people affected by alcohol have the potential to commit various crimes and disturbances to Kamtibmas.

Another potential disturbance that became a concern during Ramadan, namely illegal racing, firecrackers, and theft of empty houses left for tarawih prayers or homecoming for their owners.
