Strengthening Sharia Economic Infrastructure MEANs Welfare To The Community

JAKARTA - The National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS) stated that Indonesia is the largest Muslim-majority country in the world, but the Islamic economic literacy index is still not at the ideal number. KNEKS Sharia Ecosystem Infrastructure Director Sutan Emir Hidayat said efforts to increase literacy about the Islamic economy were a priority for acceleration to be carried out. For this literacy increase, we also made a sharia economic brand launched by President Joko Widodo some time ago at the State Palace in conjunction with the National Movement for Money Waqf, he said as reported by the official website on Friday, March 24. According to Sutan, Indonesia has great potential in the sharia industry. With that potential, Indonesia needs to implement a strategy so that it is not only a target market, but also able to become the main actor. Our country also benefits from demographic bonuses and positions as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. The Government's efforts to realize Indonesia's vision as the leading halal producer in the world have great money are realized," he stressed.

Emir explained that currently KNEKS is also strengthening Islamic economic and financial infrastructure. One of them, KNEKS focuses on forming the Regional Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KDEKS). "One of the KNEKS priority programs is the formation of regional committees as the same infrastructure as KNEKS at the center, but at the regional level. Thank God, today there are 12turbations that have been established and several other provinces are still in process," he concluded.
