Update COVID-19 March 20: 234 New Cases, 411 More Recoveries
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 15,876 specimens were examined with the results of 234 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was found in Indonesia has reached 6,741,588 people and active cases have decreased by 181 to 3,550 cases," as quoted from COVID-19 Task Force data, Monday, March 20.
Today's recovered cases increased by 411 people, bringing a total of 6,576,953 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 4 cases and a total of 160,975 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 100 cases and a total of 1,544,443 cases. Followed by West Java 59 new cases with a total of 1,237,757 cases. East Java has 21 new cases and a total of 638,570 cases. Banten 21 new cases and a total of 366,945 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 178 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 128 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 32 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 30 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 115,763,325.
"The positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 2.36 percent," he wrote.

The number of people who are suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases is recorded at 694 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.
Until now, there were 203,819,237 people who had received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,847,058 of the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 68,585,638 and the fourth dose was 3,027,717. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
