Indonesian Navy Divers Find Rahmania Wallet, Passenger Sriwijaya Air SJ-182

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Navy's divers team found a wallet that allegedly belonged to one of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 passengers named Rahmania Ekananda. In the wallet are the identities of her two children.

"The owner of the wallet is named Rahmania Ekananda," said First Admiral Yayan Sofyan, Dansatgasla of SAR Operations on KRI Rigel-933, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 12.

The wallet also contains the identities of her two children, Fazila Ammara and Fatima Ashalina. They have their address at Jalan Dendrobium Number 7, Madiun City Park, Kediri, East Java.

In addition, there are also other identities, such as health insurance cards and hundreds of thousands of Rp. 100,000 and Rp. 50,000 denominations.

The three names were registered on the Sriwijaya Air aircraft manifest with registration number PK-CLC with flight number SJ-182 for the Jakarta-Pontianak route which lost contact on Saturday (9/1) at 14:40 WIB and crashed between Lancang Island and Male Island, Seribu Islands, DKI Jakarta.

Based on manifest data, the aircraft produced in 1994 carried 62 people consisting of 50 passengers and 12 crew members. Of these, 40 adults, seven children, three babies. Meanwhile, the 12 crew consists of six active crews and six extra crews.

The Boeing 737-500 aircraft lost contact at a position 11 nautical miles north of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang after passing an altitude of 11,000 feet and while increasing its altitude at 13,000 feet.

The plane took off from Soekarno Hatta Airport at 14:36 WIB, Saturday, January 9. The schedule is delayed from the previous flight schedule at 13.35 WIB. Departure delays due to weather factors.

Tuesday, January 12 afternoon, one part of the black box, namely the Flight Data Recorder (FDR), was found by a team of divers from the Indonesian Navy (AL). The remaining Voice Cockpit Recorder (VCR) or a recording of the pilot's speech is still being searched.
