24 Hours After Mohamed Salah Failed To Complete Penalty For Liverpool, Villa The Star In Cairo Was Torn Into Robbers
JAKARTA - Unpleasant news hit Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah. Salah's villa in Cairo, Egypt, was torn apart by robbers.
The unpleasant incident occurred after Salah had a bad moment in his career. He failed to execute a penalty for Liverpool so his team lost.
In the English Premier League match, last Saturday 11 March, Liverpool lost 0-1 to Bournemouth. Whereas in the match at the Vitality Stadium, the Reds had a chance to equalize.
The opportunity for Liverpool was open when Salah in the second half was the executor of the penalty. However, his shot that went wide from the post actually made Liverpool supporters who were present at the stadium disappointed because the score had not changed.
Salah's bad day did not stop after Liverpool lost three points. He also suffered an unfortunate fate, 24 after the defeat.
Quoted from the Daily Star on Monday, March 13, or one day after Liverpool lost, Salah received news that on Sunday, March 12, the robbers had stolen their property at a villa in Cairo, Egypt.
Sources said this news was known from Salah's nephew who returned to the villa in Cairo. When he arrived, he later found a window open.
Seeing the irregularities, he then contacted the police and the authorities immediately arrived at the location. Continuing the report, inspections were carried out and it was found that many items were scattered throughout the property.
It is described that the place was torn apart by the alleged robbers, because a number of items were missing. Although it has not been confirmed in detail, Egyptian media, Al-Ahram reported, the electrical device became one of the items stolen by the robbers.
"Supervisory cameras around the site are being dismantled and security officers responsible for securing the premises are being interrogated," the report said.
"Security forces are intensifying their efforts to solve the mystery of the incident and necessary legal steps have been taken," a source added.
Rumors circulated that the incident in Cairo was a form of disappointment over Salah's blunt appearance with the Reds. Even though in his homeland Salah was considered the greatest Egyptian player to be heralded as a national hero.
Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp refused to blame Salah for his team's defeat to Bournemouth. The man from Germany is aware that mistakes can always happen to anyone, regardless of whether they are one of the best players in the world.
"The last penalty we got was I don't know when it happened, at least in the league, it's been a long time," Klopp said after the final whistle.
"It's really hypothetical, if we score goals there, the game can change but it doesn't make the performance any better but it can change the results at least. That's all. He scored a lot of goals but missed a penalty, but that's life," he continued.
