Google Extends Free VPN Access to All Google One Customers
JAKARTA - Google is extending its VPN access to all Google One members on all plans, including customers on the Basic plan starting at USD 1.99 (IDR 31.000) per month in the next few weeks.
Initially, this VPN from Google One was only available to customers with the 2TB Premium package. By using a VPN, you will be protected from various hacking attempts on the internet.
“All Google One plans come with more storage to keep your files, photos and videos safe. And now for an added layer of security (and peace of mind), we're extending VPN from Google One to all plans and introducing dark web reports in the US to help you better monitor your personal information,” said Esteban Kozak, Director of Product Management, Google One in the Google blog.
The tech giant also notes that a VPN from Google One will add more protection to your internet activity. Whether in the app or browser you use, this VPN can protect you from hackers or network operators by masking your IP address.

On top of that, the search giant has also said that they will be taking several steps to ensure that no one can tie your network traffic to your identity.
Google adds that you can share your VPN with up to five other people if they are on a Google One plan. Unfortunately, the VPN will only be available in 22 countries across Android, iOS, Windows and Mac devices where VPN from Google One is available.
These countries are: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom , United States of America.
