The Government Is Asked To Follow Up On The Findings Of Komnas HAM On FPI Quickly
JAKARTA - The findings of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) regarding the death of 6 FPI laskar at KM 50 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road must be followed up by the government in a strategic, fast, and measurable manner.
This was conveyed by member of Commission III DPR RI Didik Mukrianto in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Monday, January 11.
"I hope the government as soon as possible to follow up by taking strategic, fast and measurable steps including legal steps that are fair and transparent."
He considered that there should be no discrimination, especially in relation to human rights issues, because protection and guarantee of the fulfillment of human rights is a constitutional mandate.
"Not one person and one institution should ignore, let alone violate the constitution for any reason," he said.
According to him, the incident along Jalan Karawang Barat until it was suspected of reaching KM 49 Cikampek Toll which killed 2 FPI Laskar, the context was an incident of shuffling between cars and attacking each other between FPI officers and laskar using firearms.
"Therefore, law enforcement must be processed fairly, transparently and accountably," he said.
