99 Witnesses Of Allegedly Rumah Duafa Corruption Case In North Aceh Have Been Examined By Prosecutor's Office
BANDA - The North Aceh District Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) investigator team examined as many as 99 witnesses in connection with the alleged criminal act of corruption in the construction of 251 duafa housing units or 8 groups of the poor.
Head of the North Aceh Kejari Intelligence Section Arif Kadarman said the examination of dozens of witnesses was to complete the investigation files.
"Investigators examined 99 witnesses, including beneficiaries of duafa housing assistance and employees at Baitul Mal in North Aceh Regency who are also executors of the self-management of the construction of duafa houses. The process is still proceeding according to the procedure," said Arif Kadarman as reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 6.
Previously, the North Aceh Attorney General's Investigation Team named five suspects in cases of alleged corruption in the construction of 251 duafa housing units or 8 groups of the poor for the 2021 budget year of IDR 11.2 billion.
The five suspects, with the initials YI (43) as the Head of the North Aceh Regency Baitul Mal concurrently serving as the director of the implementation team and ZZ (46) as the Head of the Baitul Mal Secretariat of North Aceh Regency and also the power user of the budget concurrently as the director of the planning team.

Then, the suspect with the initials Z (39) was the coordinator of the implementation team, M (49) as the Activity Technical Implementation Officer (PPTK), and RS (36) as the head of the implementation team.
The alleged corruption crime began in 2021 when the North Aceh Regency Baitul Mal Secretariat carried out the construction work of 251 duafa housing units on a self-managed basis with a budget of IDR 11.2 billion sourced from zakat funds included in the local district's special PAD.
"The investigation is still ongoing. Until now, there have been no additional suspects. However, it is possible that there will still be new suspects," said Arif Kadarman.
