COVID-19 Update As Of January 10: New Cases 9,640, Accumulated 828,026 Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. Of the 46,025 specimens examined, there were an additional 9,640 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 828,026 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Sunday, January 10.
Cases recovered today increased by 7,513 so that a total of 681,024 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 182 people and a total of 24,129 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 2,711 new cases. Followed by West Java, which has 1,468 new cases.
Central Java has 1,045 new cases, East Java has 1,004 new cases, and South Sulawesi has 1,004 new cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 2,903 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 969 cases recovered.
Next, West Java with an increase of 952 recovered cases, South Sulawesi with 545 recovered cases, and East Kalimantan with 316 cases recovered.
From this data, all provinces reported additional cases and two provinces reported new cases under 10, namely Gorontalo with 8 cases and West Sumatra with 5 new cases.
Furthermore, the number of specimens that had been examined reached 7,883,009. In detail, 7,752,017 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 130,992 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
The national positivity rate currently reaches 15.7 percent or higher than the recommended World Health Organization (WHO), which is below 5 percent.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 70,381 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
