"The resilience of the external sector is also a concern of the government, especially the stability of the Rupiah exchange rate. This is part of controlling inflation, especially from importing energy prices, in this case liquidity is certainly important," he said in the Kick Off of the National Food Inflation Control Movement (GNPIP) 2023, quoted from Antara, Monday, March 6.
According to him, the government is in the process of revising PP Number 1 of 2019 concerning Export Result Foreign Exchange (DHE) where later, 30 percent of the DHE SDA, which is of the same value as or more than 250 thousand US dollars, is required to be stored in a special domestic account for 90 days.
If needed, DHE SDA which is stored domestically can also be required to be converted to Rupiah.
The government is also preparing incentives for business actors who store their DHEs in the country.

"First, monitoring the prices of basic commodities such as rice, cooking oil, chilies, onions, meat and eggs, and beef," he said.
To maintain purchasing power, the government will provide rice assistance for 3 months which is being regulated and safe to be given for 3 months, especially to recipients of the Family Hope Program (PKH).
The government and Bank Indonesia through the Central and Regional Inflation Control Team (TPIP/TPID) will also continue to encourage synergy and cooperation so that inflation remains on target in 2023 to maintain the momentum of national economic recovery.
"We also appreciate the support from bankers in the form of moral suasions, in the sense of policies set by the Governor of Bank Indonesia to be implemented in the field, so that the management of public expectations can be maintained," he said.
