Cenderawasih Military Commander: Location Of Susi Air Pilot Held Hostage By KKB Has Moved
WAMENA - Commander of the Regional Military Command (Pangdam) XVII Cenderawasih Maj. Gen. TNI Muhammad Saleh Mustafa stated that until now the TNI-Polri are continuing to try to free the Susi Air pilot from the hands of the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya.
"The KKB and their hostages are always moving from place to place, so until now the exact position cannot be known," said Major General TNI Saleh, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 27.
The search is still ongoing to confirm the whereabouts of the New Zealand pilot.
"Hopefully pilot Philip Mark Merthens will be released safely soon," hoped the Military Commander.
Previously, the Head of the Papua Police, Inspector General Fahiri, stated that the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya had asked for firearms and ammunition to be exchanged for the Susi Air pilot who was still being held hostage.

It was impossible to fulfill the request because it was dangerous and could disrupt security and cause casualties.
"Apart from asking for guns and ammunition, Egianus also asked for some money," said the regional police chief.
