Receiving Pfizer-BioNTech Injection, Singapore PM: We Prepare Many Vaccines, Even For Non-Citizens

JAKARTA - Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong received an injection of the COVID-19 vaccine in Singapore, Friday, January 8. According to The Straits Times, Prime Minister Lee was not vaccinated alone.

The Singapore Ministry of Health's Director of Medical Services Kenneth Mak and 88 health workers from the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) were recorded.

"It is painless, effective and important. I hope Singaporeans will follow this vaccine when we launch it," Lee Hsien Loong.

"We have a lot of vaccines coming in. We ordered them early, we have enough vaccines for everyone in Singapore. All residents, all citizens and even non-citizens who live here," he said.

This was the first of two injections she had to receive. He is scheduled to be re-injected in the next three weeks.

It is known that the COVID-19 vaccine used by Singapore is Pfizer-BioNTech with a dose of two injections given at an interval of 21 days. All vaccine recipients were given a control card for further injection.

"This (vaccine) will make us safer and it will make you and your loved ones safer. So follow this vaccine," he ordered.

Singapore is the first country in Asia to receive the COVID-19 vaccine produced by Pfizer-BioNTech. The vaccine, which was flown from Singapore, was received on December 21, 2020.
