The Training Center Is Targeted To Be Accommodated In No More Than 1 Year, PSSI Chairman: Funds From FIFA Are Ready

JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of PSSI, Erick Thohir, responded positively to the point of appointment of the location for the construction of a football training center in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago, East Kalimantan (Kaltim).

He was happy because President Joko Widodo placed the training center in the middle of IKN Nusantara. He also promised that the project would be carried out soon.

The man who is also the Minister of SOEs also revealed that the funds used for development came from the assistance of the International Football Federation (FIFA). Currently, Erick claims, the funds are already in PSSI.

"We will make sure it is finished soon. The funds from FIFA have been prepared, it's just the land process. So hopefully we will build it soon," said Erick while accompanying President Jokowi while reviewing the location as monitored from the official YouTube channel of the Presidential Secretariat, Friday, February 24.

Previously, President Jokowi had said that the construction of the training center for Indonesian football would soon be carried out. He also said that the construction would be completed in no more than a year.

Regarding the development funds from FIFA, Jokowi called it a form of international trust, the trust from FIFA in IKN Nusantara.

"This is a training center for PSSI, for football, for the national team. There are eight soccer fields here," said Jokowi.
