This means that the dream of many people to have cheap high-tech electronic goods from Grab Toko must be dashed. This is because suddenly the management has disclosed an alleged fraud by investors.

So who is the Grab Store Investor? Quoting data from the Directorate General of General Legal Administration (Ditjen AHU), a company called PT Grab Toko Indonesia, has a date of legalization of the establishment of 27 November 2020.

The document also lists Anak Agung Narendra Putra as the company's commissioner. Then the name Yudha Manggala Putra was also listed as a company director.

Many think that Grab Toko is a subsidiary or collaborating with the on-demand service Grab Indonesia. However, after being traced, Grab Indonesia denied that Grab Toko was affiliated with the company.

This was conveyed by Grab Indonesia Public Relations Manager Dewi Nuraini who emphasized that Grab Toko has nothing to do with Grab, "It has nothing to do, it is not part of Grab," said Nuraini.

In addition, Nuraini and his party will also take the necessary legal steps, because of the use of the name Grab Toko which resembles Grab Indonesia's ride-hailing service.

After the announcement of the alleged fraud, Grab Toko's activities, which had been vigorous on social media and the internet, suddenly disappeared. The @grabtokoid account just disappeared from the Instagram page.

It is known that the IG Grab Toko account has also changed its name 14 times, before finally loading 68 posts with a total of 78 thousand followers. Now the Grab Toko account and the buying and selling site can no longer be accessed and all of its posts are gone.

On the other hand, payment options for groceries purchased from Grab Toko can only be transferred via BCA bank. Due to this incident, BCA took swift action.

This largest private bank immediately froze the Grab Toko account. In its official announcement, BCA disclosed this decision in response to information circulating about fraud in an e-commerce store where one of the recipient's accounts used a BCA account.

"We can say that in carrying out banking operations, BCA always follows the applicable legal provisions in Indonesia. BCA has postponed transactions on the account of the e-commerce store concerned so that the account is temporarily unable to make transactions," said BCA in its official statement.
