Mothers In Makassar Begal Robbers, Swinging Machetes, Failing To Seize Bags

MAKASSAR - Robbers with machetes act in Makassar City, South Sulawesi (Sulsel). The victim is a mother who rides a motorcycle.

These robbers were in action on Jalan Meranti, Panakkukang, Makassar. The video of the robbery which was caught by the surveillance camera / CCTV was spread to social media.

At that time, the victim named Citra had just returned home with her child after selling in Toddopuli, Makassar.

"From the place of sale, it was at night around 23.00 WITA," said Citra, confirmed by reporters, Thursday, January 7.

The victim thought that at that time the two perpetrators only wanted to ask the victim. The perpetrator approached him and immediately pulled the victim's bag while taking out and swinging his machete from inside his shirt.

"At first I thought that I wanted to ask, I stopped by to give my son down, I had not gotten off the motorbike. People come, stop by, pull my bag, I ask why the pull? why immediately remove the machete from inside his shirt, immediately, want to break the rope ,, he explained.

The perpetrator failed to steal the victim's bag. But the knife hit the victim's finger until it was injured.

"2 perpetrators, one on a motorbike, has CCTV. Last night we reported it, because people told them to report it so as not to worry," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations of the Panakkukang Polsek Bripka Ahmad Halim emphasized that he would investigate this illegal case.

"We will definitely trace it," he said.
