Disapproving Honorary Energy Elimination, Ganjar: If Deleted, We Will Be In Short Of Employees

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo does not agree with the plan to abolish honorary staff that the central government wants to implement. Ganjar assessed that the abolition of honorary staff could have a bad impact on local governments.

Ganjar said that honorary workers play a very important role in Central Java. This is because the area he leads currently lacks human resources in several sectors.

In Central Java itself, honorary roles play an important role in the field of education because it is filled with honorary teachers.

"If it is removed and it is not allowed, then we are under-employed. Our teachers are lacking. If it (hoourer) is cut, we don't have a teacher. Who do you want to fill in?" said Ganjar, Monday, February 20.

Ganjar sees that the state still cannot provide employees or human resources according to the needs of the Regional Government.

No wonder many Regional Heads recruit honorary workers to solve the problem. Recruitment of honorary workers also aims to cover up the shortage of employees in every local government agency.

"It is possible that the solution can be to lift honorariums, but the condition is that regions that raise honorariums must pay for themselves, not burden the central government. I think that is a very good solution," Ganjar suggested.

Ganjar himself wants the solution offered by the government to be able to answer the problem of HR vacancies in every local government agency.

Moreover, quite important agencies, such as education where the number of honorary teachers is more than ASN teachers.

"The important thing is the contract. Actually there is a Government Employee Form with a Work Agreement (P3K) that can be taken. But for work that is limited in nature, a contract worker is needed. To avoid honorarium, it's just a matter of contracting, so there is a time determination to work on it," he explained.

Ganjar wants the solutions and innovations taken not to disrupt public services because of the innovations taken.

"When the government is not able to provide employee supply guarantees, then contract workers are needed. What is the format left? P3K, casual daily (harlep) or honorary concept? If honorary now is not allowed, just use Harlep," concluded Ganjar.
