Reza expressed his gratitude to Baim Wong as producer and Teddy Soeriaatmadja as director, who brought him back with Laura through the film Replying.

After 12 years, someone finally believed it. Baim and Mas Teddy believe together the two of us, Laura and I. Because our first meeting in 2010, we just met again in 2022 when we were shooting. So it's really nice to see you again," said Reza Rahadian during a press conference at Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

Laura Basuki agreed with Reza's words. He admitted that he went through a fun shooting process in 2022 with his co-star. "It's been a long time since Reza hasn't played together, finally I can get one more frame. I've guessed, it's definitely fun shooting, because it was directed by Mas Teddy and played with Reza too," said Laura.

The quality of acting and chemistry of the two are unquestionable. In fact, clearly, Baim said he specifically asked Reza and Laura to star in his debut film as producer.

Baim felt the existence of both of them could add to the quality of the film. I talked to Mas Teddy, I want to produce the film, the requirements are Reza Rahadian and Laura Basuki," he said.

In Replying to My face, Reza Rahadian plays Adam, a husband and father who try to take revenge after his wife and child are killed in front of his own eyes.

"Adam is a person who has lost and is full of revenge. However, behind the two layers there is a deep swamp of wounds, because everything he takes in an instant. I think it's interesting, because it makes him look very humane," said Reza.

Meanwhile, Laura Basuki plays Amanda, a psychologist who tries to deal with Adam's mental problems after the loss of his wife and children.

"He doesn't express his emotions too much when talking to his patients, but he always has a familiar answer. His uncertainty and calm is really a challenge for me," concluded Laura Basuki.
