Find Violations, KPPU: There Are Conditional Sales Practices Of Oil And Mineral In Several Regions
JAKARTA - The Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) found various alleged violations of business competition or fraud in the sale of Oil and Forestry, namely conditional sales. This practice was found in almost all KPPU regional offices in Indonesia, one of which was in Banten.
Not only conditional sales, but KPPU also found the potential for fraud by opening oil products to sell as bulk oil, "quoted from the KPPU report, Monday, February 13.
This condition was found through field supervision by the KPPU Regional Office in various provinces, including East Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, Yogyakarta, East Java, North Sumatra, and Banten.
For information, responding to the scarcity of Oil, KPPU took the initiative to carry out various field supervision over the distribution and sale of these products in various task areas of the KPPU Regional Office.
From this supervision, various facts were found, such as the unavailability of oil products, to efforts to open oil and land oil packaging to be sold as bulk cooking oil.
"Private sales or cable sales are a form of violation of business competition laws, thus becoming the focus of supervision by the KPPU. These conditional sales are found in many areas," he said.
Generally, conditional sales are made in the form of selling oils that require the purchase of other products belonging to producers or distributors or retailers, such as margarine, premium packaged cooking oil, washing soap, wheat flour, and so on.
"In some places, conditional sales were even found to be carried out on products originating from the same producer as oilita," he said.
Based on these various supervisory findings, various KPPU Regional Offices made various prevention efforts through coordination with the Food Task Force and the Government, advocating by giving warnings or summons to parties suspected of violating, as well as law enforcement through pre-investigation activities or initiative research.
"KPPU hopes that various prevention efforts will be carried out to be able to correct the market in the near future," he concluded.
