Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Reveals Mountain Papua Office in Walesi District Will Be Built on 108 Hectares of Land
PAPUA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, John Wempi Wetipo, said the Papua Highlands Provincial Government office would be built on an area of 108 hectares (he). The land was a grant from the local community located in Walesi District.
"Initially we wanted to use a land area of 150 hectares but based on a mutual agreement with the community it became 108.8 hectares", he said in a press release, Tuesday, February 7, confiscated by Antara.

"Now the Papua Highlands have signed the official report from the Governor of Highlands Papua, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum which is part of the local government, the Head of the Papua Land Agency Office, and the Heads of the Walesi and Wouma tribes on Monday 6 February 2023", he said.
He explained certificates would then be processed as well as land preparation and road access construction because it was hoped that the community would help so that the implementation of the construction of the Papua Mountains Provincial Government office could be completed smoothly.
"We hope that nothing will hinder the development process. For this reason, his party asked for security to be on guard at the surrounding locations", he said.
