Becoming Your Father, Dwi Sasono Mereflexed Himself
Actor Dwi Sasono said that his role as Ratna's father in the film Gita Cinta from high school was a warning to the father figures in Indonesia. Directed by Monty Tiwa, the film that tells the story of the love of teenagers will be shown in theaters starting February 9.
"Yes, I gave an example so that you can reflect and see your reflection so that you understand oh yes, it turns out that I (complained) like that," joked Dwi at the remake film premiere gala at Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Monday, February 6.
When he came to the front of the stage to give a speech, the audience and fans cheered Dwi. Apparently this is the audience's reaction to Dwi's role as a hard-hearted father who tends to be annoying.
In his character as a father, the actor born in Surabaya always opposes the love affair between his daughter Ratna (Prilly Latuconsina) and Galih (Yesaya Abraham).
He also often restricts Ratna's association by not giving her a travel permit. On that occasion, Dwi Sasono did not forget to thank the fans who had been present.
He hopes that this drama genre film can revive the legendary romance story in the country.
"Thank you friends who have arrived, the energy is very lively today, I hope you can enjoy this film," he added, quoted from ANTARA.
The gala premiere event was attended by hundreds of people consisting of media, fans, film observers, and celebrities.
The Gita Cinta from SMA 2023 is a remake of the legendary old film, played by Rano Karno and Yessy Gusman in 1979, which is now known as Galih and Ratna.
