East Java Governor Khofifah Exposed To COVID-19

SURABAYA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa tested positive for COVID-19. The results of this test are based on Khofifah's weekly swab.

"Based on the results of the regular weekly swab, I tested positive for COVID-19," wrote Khofifah on his personal Instagram khofifah.ip, Saturday, January 2.

Khofifah did not provide details since when and where he was exposed to COVID-19. But Khofifah made sure that her health was good and healthy, without feeling any symptoms of COVID-19.

"I have no symptoms. Currently, I am undergoing independent isolation," he continued,

Khofifah said the wheels of government in the East Java Provincial Government were running normally as usual. He asked for prayers to all people of East Java, so that they can get well soon and be able to return to activities.

"I can coordinate all government tasks with the Deputy Governor, the Regional Secretary and the OPDs. Please pray, so that I can recover soon and be active as before," he wrote.

Khofifah million advised all East Java people, to remain obedient and disciplined health protocols (prokes).

"To all people of East Java, I beg you to adhere to health protocols. Never underestimate this virus. May Allah SWT protect us all and the Indonesian nation. Amen," said Khofifah.
