Goodbye, FarmVille Games Officially Closed!

JAKARTA - Fans of farming games, FarmVille have to start 2021 with sadness, where the game, which is usually played on Facebook, officially closed on December 31, 2020 yesterday.

Launching Gizmodo, Saturday, January 2, previously Zynga, the game creator, had announced the decision in early September last year. This is because, Adobe's policy will not redistribute and update Flash Player.

This move previously followed Facebook's decision last June which announced it would end support for Flash-based games on December 31, 2020. After that, all Flash-based games including FarmVille on social media could no longer be played.

"We know that many of you have been with us from the start, helping to build an amazing global community of players over the years who have enjoyed this game as much as we do," said Zynga.

It is known, since its launch in 2009, FarmVille has brought great success to Zynga. In just two months of being launched, this farming game has attracted more than 10 million active users.

And at the height of its popularity, FarmVille was played by 30 million users every day. Although Zynga has launched its latest sequel version, users are more interested in the original version.

For information, if you still want to play Farmville, Zynga said that you will continue to operate FarmVille 2: Tropic Escape and FarmVille 2: Country Escape. They are also rumored to be launching Farmville 3 for mobile globally soon.
