A JakCard Which Can Be Used To Pay For Inner City Tolls
JAKARTA - Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) Bank DKI continues to develop access to the JakCard card as a means of non-cash payment. The plan is that JakCard can already be used to pay for mass transportation modes in Jakarta, such as the MRT, LRT and highway toll road access in the city.
Bank DKI Corporate Secretary Herry Djufraini said the card-based toll payment access is being designed and will take effect this year,
"It is hoped that the use of JakCard for toll access payments will make it easier for people to use Jakcard as access for" one stop shopping, "Herry said when confirmed, Wednesday, February 5.
Furthermore, Deputy Chairperson of Commission C DPRD DKI Rasyidi said that the members of the DKI parliament who is in charge of finance agreed that the JakCard plan could be used for toll payments.
"This is a necessity that must be implemented by DKI Bank as an innovation to provide convenience, especially for customers," said Rasyidi.
According to Rasyidi, the development of the JakCard feature for toll access can increase regional revenue because it is managed by DKI BUMD. Moreover, nowadays non-cash transactions have developed into a lifestyle for urbanites.
"I think this plan is very good. Moreover, currently toll transactions use non-cash more," he explained.
For information, besides access to mass transportation, JakCard can now be used as a non-cash payment method in the culinary area of Thamrin 10.
Then, JakCard can be used as a means of payment in tourist areas, namely Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, especially at the Main Gate (PGU) as well as Seaworld, Dufan, Atlantis and Gelanggang Samudera rides.
