Kapolda Metro Bocorkan Secrets Important Regarding Street Race

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said PT Jaya Ancol was preparing a racing arena for the drag race. So, later on, it can support the needs of speed lovers.

"So my friends leaked yesterday that I met with the President Director of Ancol to convey the idea and the desire of friends so that friends have a special track that is dedicated and I have met in person and it would be nice if we had an arena," said Fadil in his remarks when opening the fifth street race event in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Saturday, January 28.

In that communication, Jaya Ancol is said to be most likely willing to provide a racing arena. In fact, the process is currently at the stage of learning things that need to be prepared.

"Alhamdulillah, Ancol's Managing Director, Jaya Ancol's friends are studying their needs and analyzing their needs with relevant stakeholders," he said.

However, the former East Java Police Chief did not want to make a sweet promise if later there would be a racing arena. But he emphasized, he will try to provide a location for speed lovers to practice.

"This is a form of our endeavor, I don't want to give sweet promises to my friends. But believe me I will continue to fight for so that my friends have a special track for practice that can be used every day with good safety standards," said Fadil.

Meanwhile, Polda Metro Jaya again held a fifth series of street races this week. The number of participants reached thousands of people from outside the Jakarta area.

Based on the data, the most participants were from Jakarta as many as 817 people. However, there are also those who are from outside the capital city, such as Banten 57 participants, Central Java 16 participants, and East Java 7 participants.

Then, West Java 221 participants, South Sumatra 4 participants, West Sumatra 3 participants, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) with 3 participants, and West Kalimantan 9 participants.

"A collection of 1039 registrants from a maximum of 1800 registrants, the participants consisted of various regions," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman.

The fifth street race will take place at Jalan Benyamin Sueb, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta from 27 to 29 January.
