Bono Claims U2 Often Joins And Disbands

JAKARTA - Bono claimed that U2 had disbanded at all times, and said he was amazed that they were still running as a band.

Since its formation in 1976, the U2 has never been officially vacuumed or disbanded, but their vocalist said in an interview that it was difficult for them to stick together.

Speaking on the SmartLess podcast, Bono said he and other band members The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mulell Jr. often fight before making peace and continuing with the band.

I'm surprised we're still going on, Bono admits, adding: Being in a band is complicated. The older you get, the more difficult it is.

"You're as good as the argument you get, but at some point, when people are fine, men like to be rulers of their own territory, you know? It's rough. And you can imagine why people say, 'Ah, my face, I'm out of here.'

He continued: I mean, I really wish that and the band disbanded all the time. That's the truth. Then we got back together and I'm grateful we did.
