Whale This Sends 11,611 Bitcoins To The Crypto Exchange
JAKARTA The owner of the largest cryptocurrency or commonly called Whale means Whale, has reportedly shipped around 11,611 Bitcoins. The amount of BTC is worth about 240 million US dollars or around Rp. 3.6 trillion.
Not only Bitcoin, the whale also sent another cryptocurrency, namely XRP. The shipment to Binance came after BTC rose to a price of 21 thousand US dollars (around Rp. 316 million) per coin.
Based on Whale Alert data, the whale has carried out three separate transactions of 11,611 BTC carried out on Thursday, January 19. Whale transferred 6,314 BTC worth $130,868,521 from an unknown wallet to the Binance crypto exchange.
Then, another whale transferred 3,336 BTC worth 69,226,236 US dollars from an unknown wallet to the Binance crypto exchange. Then the third transaction, as many as 1,961 Bitcoins worth about 40,580,377 US dollars were transferred from Gemini crypto exchanges to unknown wallets.
The three transactions came after Bitcoin gained about 30 percent in a few days. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at 21,070. Then for the XRP transaction, Whale Alert reported that three separate transactions had occurred that moved 332,194,839 XRP worth 129.5 million US dollars.
A whale moved 61,094,839 XRP worth 102,414,350 US dollars, the largest of the three transactions, from an unknown wallet to another unknown wallet.
The second whale transferred 40,000,000 XRP worth 15,238,852 US dollars from an unknown wallet to the Bitstamp crypto exchange. In the third transaction, 31,100,000 XRP worth 11,848,208 US dollars was transferred from the Bitso crypto exchange to an unknown wallet.
XRP was trading at a price of 0.394 at the time of writing. The 6th-ranked crypto asset by market cap is up more than 26 percent from its lowest level this month. XRP also fell more than 88 percent from its all-time high at a price of 3.84 US dollars per coin, which was achieved in January 2018, reported by DailyHodl.
