Jasa Marga Consortium Cancels Construction Of Getaci Toll Road, Ministry Of PUPR To Re-tender
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is holding a re-tender for the concession of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap (Getaci) Toll Road.
The Director General of Bina Marga of the PUPR Ministry, Hedy Rahadian, said that his party had to re-tender the concession for the Getaci Toll Road, because there had been a contract default that had been previously determined.
"(Toll road) Getaci will be auctioned again because yesterday was not financially close," said Hedy at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, January 17.
Hedy said that the Jasa Marga Consortium was late in providing a financial close in accordance with the set deadline, so the Getaci Toll Road construction work would be delayed from schedule.
"Yes, starting from the beginning again, but we have started the re-auction process at BPJT," he said.
Even so, the PUPR Ministry continues with Phase I land acquisition activities which will be carried out to Garut.
"Land acquisition was by PUPR, the ministry that acquired the land, our target for arrangement has reached Garut, later if this is advanced, we will continue it to Tasikmalaya. Start construction after there are investors, the target is this year," he stated.
Just to note, in the bidding for the Getaci toll road construction project, the consortium of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, and PT Jasa Sarana-PT Daya Mulia Turangga-Gama Group came out as the winner.
