Russia Claims Powered By Soler, Died 700 Ukrainian Army In The Three Day War

JAKARTA - Russian troops managed to control the city of Soledar from the Ukrainian military on the evening of January 12, Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov reported on Friday.

"On the night of January 12, the release of the City of Soledar, which is very important for the continuation of successful offensive operations in the Donetsk region, has been completed," the general said, launching TASS January 14.

"Full control of the Soleredar allows to cut off supply routes for Ukrainian troops in the southwest located Artyomovsk, then block the city and trap Ukraine's military there," explained the general.

Soledar's seizure by Russian troops is backed by continuous airstrikes, missiles and artillery against the position of the Ukrainian army, Konashenkov reported.

"Soledar was seized thanks to continuous attacks carried out against enemies with aircraft attacks, missile forces and artillery from Russian troop groups. They continued to carry out concentrated attacks on Ukrainian army positions in the city, preventing deliveries of reserve forces and ammunition," he explained.

He further explained that Russia killed more than 700 Ukrainian soldiers and more than 300 weapons systems in the last three-day fighting in the Solar.

Not only that, Konashenkov said Russia was also deploying parachuting troops, to block the city's northern and southern regions.

"In operations for the city's release, Russian Air Force fighters destroyed three planes and a Ukrainian Air Force helicopter that provided air support for Ukrainian troops," he explained.

He added that the strength and capability of the Russian electronic warfare (EW), crippled enemy command and control in the release of the Soler and thwarted the Ukrainian drone strike.
