David Maulana Believes He Can Adapt Quickly To The Cold Weather In Spain
JAKARTA - Midfielder for the U-19 national team, David Maulana, is confident that he can quickly adapt to the cold weather in Spain when holding a training camp (TC) which will last until January 31.
"Alhamdulillah, we have arrived in Spain and are ready to undergo TC here. The weather is cold here, but I don't think it is a problem and we have to adapt quickly," said David as quoted by Antara on the official website of PSSI from Jakarta, Monday.
The U-19 national team has arrived in Spain since last Sunday after traveling for 18 hours from Jakarta to Barcelona. Arriving in Barcelona, they continued the road trip to Taragona for half an hour.
Now that Europe is entering winter, the air temperature in Spain ranges from 8-10 degrees Celsius. Therefore, a quick adaptation is needed so that the available time is not wasted.
Meanwhile, the assistant coach of the national team, Nova Arianto, appreciated PSSI's step in sending Kakang and friends even though the U-20 World Cup was postponed.
The U-19 national team still has one other agenda which has not changed until now, namely the U-19 AFC Cup in Uzbekistan. With this careful preparation, it is hoped that they will be able to give their best performances and achievements.
Nova said, after a long trip to Spain and arriving at the hotel, the players immediately ate lunch and rested. Today the plan is for them to undergo training.
In this departure, the U-19 national team group was led by the PSSI Technical Director Indra Sjafri. As for Shin Tae-yong, he will follow to Spain on January 2, 2021 because he is still leading the training for the Indonesian national team in preparation for the SEA Games in Jakarta.
