Saan Mustopa Anulir NasDem's Deputy Speech, Make Sure The Announcement Of Anies' Vice President With Democrats And PKS
JAKARTA - The chairman of the DPP NasDem Party Saan Mustopa annulled the statement by the Deputy General Chair, Ahmad Ali regarding the announcement of the vice presidential candidate (cawapres) accompanying Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election in February by not including Democrats and PKS. Saan ensured that NasDem would work together with Democrats and PKS to declare the Coalition for Amendments while announcing the name of the presidential and vice presidential candidates from the coalition. According to him, there is no problem between the three parties. "With PKS, we still build intensive communication. God willing, we can build intensive communication together. So the opportunity to be together is there, because we both have almost the same candidate, so there is no problem," said Saan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 11.
However, Saan has not been able to confirm that Anies' declaration of vice presidential candidate will be made in February. Saan said that the matter of momentum was running with the maturation of the Change Coalition.
"Ah, we'll just walk," he added. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Honorary Council of the Democratic Party, Hinca Panjaitan, was reluctant to respond to the announcement of Anies' vice presidential candidate by NasDem without PKS and Democrats. Because according to him, talks within the Democratic, PKS and NasDem teams are still related to the maturation of the coalition declaration. So far, he said, the three political parties are still communicating together to form a Coalition for change.
"I didn't respond to that first, because we never talked about it. What we are talking about is that the Coalition's communication continues," Hinca said at the Parliament Complex.
Previously, Deputy Head of NasDem Ahmad Ali said that his party would declare a vice presidential candidate accompanying Anies Baswedan in February. However, Ali admitted that he could not confirm whether NasDem would hold a joint declaration with PKS and Democrats who are members of the Change Coalition or not.
"(Declaration) February, so NasDem will declare Anies with his partner. I don't know what party it is with. February, but I don't know what party. It could be a Coalition for Change, it could be NasDem with another party," Ali said when contacted by reporters, Tuesday, January 10.
