The trial of the alleged bribery case for the admission of new students at the University of Lampung (Unila) continues today, Tuesday, January 10. The trial was held at the District Court (PN) for the Crime of Corruption (Tipikor) Tanjungkarang Class 1A, Bandar Lampung.

The defendants who attended the trial scheduled for the reading of this indictment were the inactive Unila Chancellor, Karomani; Deputy Chancellor (Warek) I of the inactive Unila Academic Division, Heryandi; and the inactive Unila Senate Chair, Muhammad Basri.

Based on observations, the three defendants arrived at the Tanjungkarang Corruption Court by riding a prisoner vehicle at the Bandar Lampung District Attorney's Office, escorted by fully armed police officers.

Karomani, and two other defendants Heryandi and M. Basri got out of the prisoner's car wearing orange vests that read "KPK detainees" and handcuffed.

On that occasion, Karomani also said that he would follow the trial that ensnared him and his friends.

"We'll just follow the trial," said Karomani as he walked into the trial room of Bagir Manan at the Tanjung Karang Corruption Court, confiscated by Antara.

In this case, the KPK has named four suspects, consisting of three people as recipients of bribes, namely Karomani, Heryandi, and M. Basri.

Meanwhile, the suspect as the bribe giver is a private party, namely Andi Desfiandi, who is already a defendant and is still in the process of undergoing trial.
