Airport Employees Are Prohibited From Receiving Christmas Gifts, Why?
JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) prohibits all employees from receiving gratuities related to Hari Raya moments including Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021.
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II Muhammad Awaluddin said the obligation to reject this gratification was the company's effort to maintain good corporate governance (GCG) and prioritize the principles of anti-corruption, collusion and nepotism.
"The prohibition of receiving gratuities is also part of our efforts to maintain and build employee integrity," he said, as quoted by Antara, Saturday, December 26.
The prohibition on receiving gratuities was strengthened by Angkasa Pura II by issuing Circular Number EDR.01.04 / 00/12/2020/0085 concerning Prohibition of Receiving Gratuities Towards Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021, which follows up on KPK Circular Letter Number 14 of 2020 concerning Control of Gratification Related to the Moment of the Holiday.
Through this circular, Angkasa Pura II firmly states that AP II employees must refuse and are prohibited from accepting gratuities from partners, providers, or third parties in the form of money, goods vouchers, parcels / facility parcels and / or other forms of giving related position and contrary to their obligations or duties.
If employees under certain conditions cannot immediately refuse gratuities, they are obliged to report the receipt to the relevant internal company unit. Likewise, if employees receive food within reasonable limits, it can be distributed to those who are more in need and also report their receipt.
"Every employee who receives gratuities and does not report it from the date of receipt will be subject to sanctions in accordance with company regulations and the potential for bribery in accordance with applicable regulations," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
Angkasa Pura II also informs and confirms that partners, providers or third parties are prohibited from providing gratuities in the form of money, vouchers, goods, parcels / gifts, facilities and / or other forms of gift related to their position and contrary to their obligations or duties.
Meanwhile, another effort by PT Angkasa Pura II in preventing corrupt practices is by implementing an Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) which has received an ISO 3007: 2016 certificate.
In addition, PT Angkasa Pura II has also signed a cooperation agreement with the KPK regarding Handling Complaints in Efforts to Eradicate Corruption, to strengthen the application of the whistleblowing system at PT Angkasa Pura II.
