Delman Operations At Monas Only Saturday And Sunday, Central Jakarta City Government Tests Horse Feses Samples For Public Health Guarantee
JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta City Government conducted a test of horse wagon samples operating in the National Monument (Monas) and Medan Merdeka Roads to ensure public health as users.
Deputy Mayor of Central Jakarta Iqbal Akbarudin explained that the sample test was carried out by a team of doctors from the Central Jakarta Food, Maritime and Agriculture Security Sub-dept. (KPKP).
"Our task this afternoon is to ensure that the horses around the Monas circle can be sampled to ensure their health," Iqbal said as reported by Antara, Sunday, January 8.
According to Iqbal, wagons are no longer classified as public transportation, but rather tourism support transportation.
Therefore, the Central Jakarta City Government regulates the operation of wagons which are limited to only Saturday and Sunday.
In the new provisions, wagons can only operate for eight hours so that the horses are not too tired. In addition, the wagon cart can only be climbed by four people and one coachman.
In addition, the health of the wagon horse is part of the supervision of the Central Jakarta City Government to ensure that horse waste or feces is not harmful to the health of the user.
One of the ornamental wagon coaches at Monas, Deni, admitted that she had no objection to this new rule. However, he refused if the horse was taken a blood sample.
"If the dirt is taken, then you don't mind, but if you have to get a needle to take blood, we refuse, because the horse is pulling the passenger," he said.
