Saratoga's Stocks Are Flying More, Sandiaga Uno's Securities Inaugurated By Jokowi As Menparekraf?

JAKARTA - Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno has been officially appointed as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) replacing Wishnutama Kusubandio. The handover process (sertijab) from Wishnutama to Sandi took place at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Building, Jalan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, December 23.

The man who is familiarly called Bang Sandi is known to be the controlling shareholder and founder of PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk. The SRTG-coded company's shares surged again after closing significantly higher yesterday in trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Quoting RTI data, at the close of trading today, Wednesday, December 23, SRTG shares soared nearly 11 percent to the level of Rp3,950 per share. At yesterday's close, Saratoga's shares were at the level of Rp3,560 per share.

The total trading of SRTG shares today reached 18.99 million shares with a transaction value of Rp76.49 billion. Saratoga's market capitalization on the IDX reached IDR 10.72 trillion.

In fact, the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) today fell 0.24 percent to a level of 6,008.71. Today's JCI even touched the 5,900 level.

For information, in the 2020 Jokowi-Maruf cabinet reshuffle, Sandiaga was given the mandate to become Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy replacing Wishnutama.

Sandi's name started sticking out in the political world after succeeding in becoming Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta with Anies Baswedan in 2017. But he left the Deputy Governor seat to contest the 2019 Presidential Election (Pilpres) with Prabowo Subianto.

Born in Pekanbaru on June 28, 1969, Sandiaga Uno is the last of two children of the pair Razif Halik Uno (Henk) and Rachmini Rachman (Mien). Sandiaga married in 1996 to Nur Asiah and from this marriage he is blessed with three children; Anneesha Atheera Uno, Amyra Atheefa Uno, and Sulaiman Saladdin Uno.
