The Evacuation Of 3 Crew Members Of The MV Mehad 2 Ship In The Waters Of Sungailiat Bangka

JAKARTA - The MV Mehad 2 ship containing three crew members (ABK) suffered engine failure in the middle of the waters of Rebo Beach, Sungailiat District, Bangka Regency. The incident has occurred since Monday, December 26.

Furthermore, the Mehad 2 MV captain named Nusiasin reported to the Pangkalpinang SAR Office so that Basarnas evacuated the ship on Tuesday, December 27.

"We dispatched a rescue team using KN SAR Karna to evacuate the three victims with an estimated arrival at the LKP for about 1 hour," said Head of the Pangkalpinang Search and Rescue Office, I Made Oka Astawa when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, December 27.

Furthermore, the victims were successfully evacuated by the rescue team of the Pangkalpinang SAR Office using the ship to ship method to KN SAR Karna.

"From the results of data collection on the Pangkalpinang SAR Office, the three victims of the MV Mehad 2 ship who were successfully evacuated were Nuasiasin (44), Riki Ardian (24) and Marianto (46)," he said.

Luckily, the conditions when the victim was successfully evacuated safely. The three victims were evacuated to the PT S Pangkal Balam pier.

"The victim will then be handed over to the ship's agent," he said.
